Living the Life – Gary’s Version

Ah life in paradise, and what better to do than fix broken stuff....
  • The anchor windlass needs pulling apart.  But my toolkit consisting of a Philips head and a flat head screw driver wont quite cut it... add tool kit to the shopping list!  At least Kate would let me buy a multimeter and with that I believe the problem to be mechanical rather than electrical...
  • Stop the halyards banging – check
  • Stop the fridge rattling – check
  • Pull apart the overhead light that is not working to find out why it is not working –check
  • Open fuel tank and check that the diesel is clean – check
  • Fix the 12v socket – check
  • Climb the mast and make the steaming light work – check
  • Climb to the top and see what the mast head anchor light is not working – bulb burst

To Do:
  • Main saloon fan not working
  • Toilets service (all 5 of them)– (oh joy)
  • Clean bimini
  • Replace cockpit speaker
  • Apply sunscreen to Kate
