POSITION

2 degrees 35.0 N
81 degrees 56.8 W

COURSE

226 degrees at 9.4 Knots

WIND

28 Knots from 035

PROGRESS

Had a wild night. 10 knots of wind ended up at 35 gusting 45 by 2:00 am. Bird sat on wind gear and crash jibed the boat.  Currently double reefed with square of head sail in 28 knots of wind. Hoping it will calm soon so Gary can fish.  Just went past a house door!  They are in 3 knots of current taking them towards Galapagos.

Editors note: Passage weather web site suggests wind will ease as they head further off shore.
